Description

The 2025 NCAA Amherst Regional is a men's collegiate golf tournament held May 11-14, 2025, at Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Virginia. The event is a 54-hole stroke play competition and serves as one of the six regional qualifiers for the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship. The field features 13 teams and 10 individual qualifiers, including top collegiate programs like LSU, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Pepperdine, Tennessee, Arizona, Stanford, Wake Forest, and Arkansas. The top five teams and the lowest individual not on those teams advance to the NCAA Championship finals. Poplar Grove Golf Club, a par-70, 7,212-yard course designed partly by golf legend Sam Snead, is known for its challenging layout requiring precise shot-making and strategic play. The tournament tests collegiate golfers’ skills in varying conditions, crucial for advancing to nationals.
