Description

The R&A Girls Amateur Championship is a prestigious junior golf event for girls under 18, organized by The R&A and held annually at top courses in the UK. The championship consists of two rounds of stroke play to select the top 64 competitors, followed by six rounds of match play to determine the champion. The field usually includes 144 players from around the world, with entry based on a handicap index under 2.4 or ranking within the top 1000 worldwide. Players must be under 18 as of January 1 of the competition year, and qualifying is by entry form and verification by The R&A.
