Amateur Golf Info
Privacy Policy
Effective: June 15, 2026
Amateur Golf Info, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates Amateur Golf Info (the “Site”), which provides amateur golf rankings, events, leaderboards, and related content and services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide. Account registration details (such as name, email address, and password), billing and payment information processed through our third-party payment processor, communications you send to us, and any content or preferences you submit.
Schedule and event-participation information. Information about golf events, tee times, entry lists, schedules, and where and when individuals are scheduled to play or compete. This may include the past, present, and upcoming schedules of players featured on the Site. We treat this information with particular care; see the “Schedule Data and Public Display” section below.
Coach directory information. Coaches may choose to share their email address and related contact information in our coach directory. Inclusion in the coach directory and the sharing of a coach’s email there is entirely voluntary and opt-in; coaches may opt out and request removal at any time.
Automatically collected information. Device, browser, IP address, usage, and analytics data collected through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Site.
2. Schedule Data and Public Display
The Site distinguishes between future (upcoming) events and completed events, and we treat them differently:
Future events are entirely voluntary and opt-in only. Displaying an individual’s participation in a future or upcoming event — that is, information indicating where and when a person is scheduled or expected to play before that event has occurred — is entirely voluntary. We will not publicly display this future-event information unless the individual has affirmatively opted in. The choice to opt in to, or opt out of, public display applies only to future events. Opting in is not required to use the Site.
Opt-out applies to future events. For future events, you may opt out at any time, and you may request that we remove or stop displaying your upcoming-event information. We will honor opt-out and removal requests for future events within a reasonable period, subject to information that may remain in cached or archived copies outside our control. Because the opt-in and opt-out choices concern future events, they do not apply to completed events as described below.
Completed events are publicly available information. Once an event has concluded, the results, scores, finishes, and the fact of a player’s participation are publicly available information that we may publish and retain as part of the historical record. This completed-event information is not subject to opt-in or opt-out, as it reflects results that are already public and is not within an individual’s control to withhold after the fact.
Acknowledgment. By opting in to public display of future-event information, you acknowledge and agree that the applicable information will be made publicly available on the Site and may be viewed, indexed, and shared by third parties. You should not opt in if you do not wish that information to be publicly accessible.
3. How We Handle Personal Information (PII)
We aim to keep the personal information (“PII”) we hold to a minimum and to handle it responsibly. We distinguish between personally identifiable information and non-identifying information:
Personal information (PII). Information that identifies an individual, such as name, email address, and account and billing details. We collect only the PII reasonably necessary to operate the Site, manage accounts, process subscriptions, and communicate with users. We limit internal access to PII, use reasonable safeguards to protect it (see Data Retention and Security), and do not sell it.
Non-personal information. Information that does not, on its own, identify an individual, such as aggregated rankings and statistics, de-identified usage data, and completed-event results. We may use, retain, and share non-personal information for analytics, reporting, and improving the Site without the same restrictions that apply to PII.
Minimization. Even where we keep only minimal PII, we apply the protections described in this Policy to it. Where we can accomplish a purpose using non-identifying or aggregated data, we will favor that approach.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its rankings, events, and leaderboards;
- Create and manage accounts, process subscriptions, and handle billing;
- Display schedules, results, and related content in accordance with the consent and choices described above;
- Communicate with you, including service-related notices and, where permitted, updates and marketing;
- Monitor, secure, and protect the Site and prevent fraud or misuse; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
5. Email Communications and Marketing
By creating an account, you are added to our email database and opted in to receive emails from us, including transactional emails, service notifications, and marketing communications.
Transactional emails. Transactional emails are essential to account management and the operation of the Site (for example, billing and payment notices, password and security messages, and important account or service updates). Because these communications are necessary to provide the Site, you cannot opt out of transactional emails while you maintain an account.
Notifications and marketing. You may opt out of marketing communications and of non-essential notifications at any time, for example by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by updating your account preferences. Opting out of marketing or notifications does not affect your receipt of transactional emails.
No sale to third parties. We do not sell your email address or other personal information to third parties.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf (such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing), with public users of the Site to the extent you have opted in to public display, when required by law or to protect our rights, and in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition. Service providers are permitted to use information only as necessary to provide their services to us.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.
8. Data Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Site and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to withdraw consent. As described above, you may opt in or out of public display of your future-event information at any time, opt out of marketing and non-essential notifications, and request removal from the coach directory. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@amateurgolfinfo.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because amateur golf may involve junior players, we will not publicly display schedule or location information identifying a minor without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, or another lawful basis. If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
