Description

The Women’s Amateur Championship is organized by The R&A and held annually at leading courses in Great Britain and Ireland. The format features a two-day, 36-hole stroke play qualifier, with the top 64 players advancing to match play elimination rounds and a 36-hole championship final. Entry is open to women with federation handicap ≤2.0, selected by world and national ranking, and registration before the deadline. Qualifying is determined by cumulative scores and countback in the event of ties. The championship is internationally renowned, awarding global ranking and Order of Merit points.
