Description

The Spider Invitational is organized and operated by the University of Richmond Athletics Department in coordination with host facility Independence Golf Club. The World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) sanctioned NCAA Division I women's collegiate tournament spans 3 rounds (54 holes) of individual and team gross stroke play, typically fielding a competitive regional grid of 10 to 15 university programs and 60 to 90 student-athletes representing top athletic programs across the Atlantic 10, CAA, Patriot League, and Big South conferences. Serving as a marquee autumn ranking fixture on the Mid-Atlantic collegiate calendar, the championship awards participating student-athletes national stroke-play order of merit allocations, WAGR points, and NCAA regional postseason qualifying standings. Competitors participate through official team selection and roster qualification managed directly by participating NCAA member institution athletic programs adhering to varsity eligibility guidelines.
