The Southern India Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship is a major amateur tournament in India, organized by the Indian Golf Union. The championship features a stroke play format typically over 54 or 72 holes (depending on the edition), played across three or four rounds. The event is open to both ladies and junior girls, with entries divided into different age or handicap categories. Usually, around 60–90 competitors take part, selected based on handicap criteria or rankings, and the event often draws some of the best female talent from across southern India and occasionally other regions. Qualification is through meeting handicap requirements and timely entry submission to the Indian Golf Union. The venue rotates among top courses in southern India and is recognized for its role in developing women’s and junior girls’ golf at the regional level
