Description

he Delaware Amateur Championship is the premier men’s amateur golf tournament in the state of Delaware, run annually by the Delaware State Golf Association (DSGA/GAP). The 2025 edition marked the 74th playing of the event and was contested in late June over 72 holes of stroke play (four rounds), with a cut to the low 36 players plus ties after 36 holes. The field is drawn from members of GAP/DSGA-affiliated clubs, and entry requires amateur status, a valid Handicap Index, and registration during the designated window. Competitors vie for the state championship title and earn significant prestige within the regional amateur golf community. Field size is approximately 120–144 players depending on the host venue and year.
