Description

The Boys' Amateur Championship is a prestigious international junior golf tournament organized by The R&A. The 2025 event is scheduled from August 11 to August 16 at County Louth Golf Club in Drogheda, Ireland. The championship features under-18 male golfers competing in both stroke play and match play formats. The tournament begins with 36 holes of stroke play to qualify the top 64 players for the match play stage, which is knockout over five rounds. Typically, around 156 competitors participate, representing nearly 30 countries worldwide. Qualification is based on national rankings, international invitations, and performance in recognized events.
