Description
The U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Championship is organized by the United States Golf Association (USGA). The event consists of two stages: an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round, followed by match play for the championship. Typically, 132 players compete including exempt players. The stroke play qualifier determines the 64 players who advance to the match play portion, with all qualifiers and exempt players required to compete. Ties for the last qualifying spots are decided by hole-by-hole playoffs. The match play rounds are conducted in a single-elimination format with an 18-hole final match. The championship awards medals to the winner and top finishers.
