The Giles Invitational - Mid Amateur is a prestigious golf tournament held in honor of the amateur legend Marvin "Vinny" Giles III. The inaugural event took place from May 2 to 4, 2025, at Kinloch Golf Club in Manakin Sabot, Virginia. It features a strong field of about 60 of the best mid-amateur golfers and 30 top senior amateurs, including several U.S. Mid-Amateur champions and U.S. Senior Amateur winners. The tournament is played over 54 holes and is recognized for its first-class service and well-executed organization, making it one of the nicest mid-amateur events. The Giles Invitational celebrates the legacy of Vinny Giles, a lifelong amateur golfer known for his numerous achievements including playing in nine Masters tournaments and winning the 1972 U.S. Amateur. In the 2025 inaugural Mid-Amateur division, Andrew Bailey, a two-time Ohio Amateur champion, won with a score of 9-under-par 207 over three rounds. The event combines competitive excellence with camaraderie, capturing the spirit of amateur golf as embodied by its namesake.​
