Description
The Tennant Cup is the world's oldest open amateur stroke-play golf championship, first contested in 1880. It is traditionally played over 72 holes (four rounds) of stroke play, often held over two days at prominent Scottish courses such as Gailes Links and Killermont Golf Club in Glasgow. The competition attracts a strong field of amateur golfers who qualify through various regional or club qualifying events or receive invitations based on past performance or handicaps.
