Southern Junior Championship

The Southern Junior Championship is open to male amateur golfers aged 14 to 18 with a Handicap Index not exceeding 4.4. Entries are accepted via online registration and the field is limited to 156 players. The tournament features a combination of exempt players—including past champions, high performers in prior events, top-ranked juniors nationally and internationally—and non-exempt players selected through an application review process by the Southern Golf Association Junior Competition Committee. Non-exempt players are ranked and accepted based on Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings if spots remain after exemptions. The entry fee is $350 with a $40 non-refundable fee. Registration closes May 5, 2025. This hybrid qualification system balances merit-based exemptions with open applications for others, maintaining a highly competitive field.
