Description

The Society of Seniors Spring Classic is a 54-hole stroke play tournament played over three days with a maximum field of 84 players. The event features four age divisions: Senior (55-64), Super Senior (65-69), Legend (70-74), and Super Legend (75+), each playing from yardages tailored to their division, approximately 6500 yards for Seniors to 5600 yards for Super Legends. The tournament includes a practice round, player gifts, a prize fund, and food service during competition days. Entry priority is given to exempt players from previous year performances and Players of the Year, with a lottery if oversubscribed. The event has been held at venues like Aileron Golf Club in Lake Suzy, Florida, and World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida. The entry fee typically ranges around $950 to $1100, covering practice and tournament rounds with carts, range balls, select meals, and player gifts. Registration opens several months in advance, with withdrawals subject to fees depending on timing. The Spring Classic is a key event in the Society of Seniors calendar, offering valuable ranking points and competitive play among senior amateur golfers.
