SCAGA Match Play

The SCAGA Match Play is the annual match play championship organized by the Sun Country Amateur Golf Association (SCAGA) for amateur golfers in New Mexico and West Texas. The event is held in July and features a traditional individual match play format: players compete head-to-head in bracketed matches, advancing through rounds until a champion is determined. Each match is won by the player who leads by more holes than remain, and ties go extra holes. The format is strictly match play, based on USGA and SCAGA rules, and entry is generally open to SCAGA members who qualify by handicap.
