Description

The Orlando International Amateur Championship is a high-level amateur golf tournament held annually at the Mission Resort + Club in Orlando, Florida, known as the "Golf Capital of the World." The event is contested over 54 holes of stroke play played across two championship courses, El Campeón and Las Colinas. Competitors play one round on each course during the first two days, followed by a cut to the top 70 and ties, who advance to the final round on El Campeón. The field typically consists of up to 180 male amateur golfers from around the globe, competing in a highly competitive setting. Entry is limited and subject to approval by the organizing committee, with qualification primarily based on amateur status and performance history. Practice rounds are available prior to competition to allow players to familiarize themselves with the challenging layouts. The tournament emphasizes adherence to local and USGA rules, with a strict pace of play.
