Description

The New Year's Invitational is a historic and prestigious amateur golf tournament held annually at St. Petersburg Country Club in St. Petersburg, Florida, since 1927. The 2026 tournament, marking the 100th playing, is scheduled for January 2-4. The event features a field of elite amateur golfers from around the world and has historically produced many future PGA Tour stars such as Brandt Snedeker and J.B. Holmes. The format is stroke play at a championship course that recently underwent significant renovations, enhancing its challenge and playability. The winner of the 2025 event will earn an exemption into the LECOM Suncoast Classic, a Korn Ferry Tour event, offering a valuable opportunity to compete at the professional level.
