Description

The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship is a premier collegiate golf tournament organized by the NCAA. The championship format includes 30 teams and 6 individual qualifiers competing initially in 54 holes of stroke play to determine the top 15 teams and 9 individual competitors who advance to an additional stroke play round. Following this, the top eight teams proceed to match play to compete for the team national championship. Typically, about 150 players participate. Teams qualify through regional tournaments held at six sites, each featuring 12 teams and 6 individuals competing over 54 holes. The top five teams and the lowest scoring individual not on an advancing team from each regional qualify for the championship. The 2025 championship was held May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, with match play deciding the final team champion.
