Description
The Monroe Invitational is a historic and prestigious amateur golf tournament held annually at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, New York. Established in 1937, it is one of the oldest amateur tournaments in the United States. The event features a strong field of elite collegiate and mid-amateur golfers competing over 72 holes of stroke play, with a 54-hole cut. The Monroe Golf Club course, a classic Donald Ross design, plays approximately 6,971 yards with a par of 70. The championship typically takes place in late July and is known for its challenging layout and competitive atmosphere.
