IMG Academy Junior World Championship
About
The IMG Academy Junior World Championship is organized by the San Diego Junior Golf Association and is the largest and most internationally represented junior golf event in the world. The tournament is played over four rounds (72 holes) of stroke play and regularly features over 1,200 competitors spanning age groups from 6 to 18, with boys and girls divisions in each group. Entry to the championship is gained through official qualifying tournaments held worldwide and in the United States; a limited number of spots are also filled via open registration and player resume review for those not qualifying through local events. Each age bracket and division competes on a designated course in San Diego, creating a true “world championship” experience with players from over 50 countries.
