Description
The GMAC Invitational, also known as the Graeme McDowell Invitational, is a collegiate men's golf tournament hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The event is played over 54 holes of stroke play, usually across two days, with 36 holes on the first day and 18 holes on the second. The tournament is held at a par-70 course measuring approximately 6,860 yards. Around 14 teams typically participate, fielding five players each round, with the top four scores counting towards the team total. Invitations to compete are based on team performance, reputation, and regional standing, making it a competitive early fall event on the NCAA Division I calendar.
