Women's Porter Cup

The Porter Cup is an elite 72-hole medal-play amateur golf tournament held annually at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, New York. Founded in 1959 as the International Invitational and renamed in honor of local businessman Alex Porter in 1960, the tournament has grown into one of the most prestigious amateur events in the country. The event traditionally features a strong international field of top amateur golfers. The Porter Cup is notable for the quality of its past champions, which include PGA Tour stars such as Phil Mickelson, David Duval, Scott Verplank, Ben Crenshaw, Tiger Woods, Brooks Koepka, and Dustin Johnson. The tournament also introduced a women’s division in 2013, which was combined with the men’s divisions starting in 2023. The iconic par-3 18th hole, known for its amphitheater setting, is famous for drawing large gallery crowds and creating a dramatic finishing atmosphere. The Porter Cup continues to be a launching ground for future professional golfers, with 68 major championships won by past participants and a significant presence on PGA, LIV, and LPGA tours.
