Description

Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship (WAAP) is organized by The R&A and Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), held annually at premier courses throughout Asia-Pacific. The format is 72-hole stroke play (four rounds), with a cut after 36 holes (top 50 and ties advance). Field size is 86–120 elite amateurs, selected by APGC member country nominations and World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), with one to several spots per country based on available ranked players. Entry requires federation membership and amateur status per R&A rules, with registration via federation nomination before the published deadline. Winners earn exemptions to major championships including AIG Women’s Open, Amundi Evian Championship, and Chevron Championship.
