Description
The Welsh Women’s Open Stroke Play Championship is Wales’ national ladies’ amateur stroke play championship, organized by Wales Golf. The 2025 event will be held May 2–4 at Ashburnham Golf Club, Burry Port, Carmarthenshire. The tournament is a 54-hole stroke play event, open to female amateurs of all ages, and regularly attracts elite players from Wales, England, and the wider UK. The championship awards the national title to the lowest aggregate scorer over three rounds and provides World Amateur Golf Ranking points. Past champions include many leading UK internationals, and the event is a highlight of the Welsh amateur season
