The Blade Junior Classic

The Blade Junior Classic is a premier 54-hole stroke play junior golf tournament held annually at the Thornblade Club in Greenville, South Carolina. Founded in 1999, it is recognized as the South Carolina Junior Golf Association’s (SCJGA) flagship event and features a competitive field of junior golfers often exceeding 100 players. The event spans over three days, typically including 18-hole rounds on consecutive days with a cut for the final round. It includes divisions for both 9-hole and 18-hole players, accommodating a wide range of junior skill levels. Qualification is primarily through SCJGA membership and performance in preceding SCJGA events. The tournament experience also features additional activities such as a Junior-Am tournament, family dinner, and fundraising events supporting local children’s charities.
