Mbale Ladies Open

The Mbale Ladies Open is organized by the Uganda Golf Union and annually hosted at the Mbale Golf Club in Uganda, as one of the key women’s events in the national golf calendar. The tournament features two rounds of stroke play and typically attracts a field of over 65 competitors—including elite Ugandan and East African women amateurs—with separate categories such as Silver (low handicap) and Bronze (higher handicap) divisions. Entry is based on registration and payment of the required fee, with participants selected on a first-come, first-served basis or nominated by their clubs, thus providing broad access for established and emerging players. The event is seen as an important platform for promoting women’s golf and developing talent for higher-level competition within Uganda and the region.
