Description

The Canadian Collegiate Invitational is organized by Golf Canada and is co-hosted by Kent State University and Penn State University. Held annually at Oviinbyrd Golf Club in MacTier, Ontario, this championship features NCAA Division I men’s golf teams with Canadian ties, alongside the team champions from the Canadian University/College Championship. The invitational is a 54-hole stroke play tournament, usually played over two or three days with 36 holes on the first day and 18 on the final day. The field consists of around 11 teams and about 62 collegiate players from Canada and the United States, with team champions and select NCAA programs receiving invitations. Qualification is determined by university team performance and direct invitations from Golf Canada. The individual winner earns an exemption into the RBC Canadian Open, and the top five receive exemptions into the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship
