Description

The APGC Senior Amateur Championship is the Asia-Pacific region’s premier individual and team event for senior amateur golfers, organized by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC). Played annually since 2006, the championship consists of 54 holes (three rounds) of stroke play and includes both men's and women's divisions. The men’s competition is for amateurs aged 55 and above, while women compete from age 50. The field generally features over 100 senior golfers representing APGC member nations across Asia and Oceania. To qualify, players must meet minimum age and handicap requirements: typically a maximum handicap of 13.4 for men aged 55–59, 15.4 for ages 60–64, 17.9 for 65–69, and no limit above 70; for women: 15.4 (ages 50–54), 17.4 (55–59), and no limit for 60 and older. Entry is based on national nominations and verification of eligibility with the APGC. The individual champions receive an invitation to The R&A Senior Amateur Championship.
