Zurich Championship
About
The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is a unique PGA Tour golf tournament held annually at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, Louisiana. It is distinctive as a team event where 80 two-player teams compete over four rounds with alternating formats: the 1st and 3rd rounds are played as Best Ball (Four-Ball), and the 2nd and 4th rounds use the Alternate Shot (Foursomes) format. After the first two rounds, a cut is made to the top 33 teams plus ties, who advance to the final rounds. The team with the lowest combined score after all four rounds wins the tournament, which offers 400 FedEx Cup points and two-year tour exemptions for the winners but no Masters invitations or world ranking points.
