WRDGA District Championship
About
The Country Club of Rochester (CCR) is a championship 18-hole golf course located in the towns of Brighton and Pittsford, in suburban Rochester, New York. Established in 1895, the original course underwent a major redesign by the famed Scottish golf architect Donald Ross in 1912, known for its classic early 20th-century design elements. Later refinements were made by Robert Trent Jones, a native of the area who was influenced by Ross and became a prominent golf course architect himself. The course is known for its challenging layout, featuring Ross’s signature design style, with significant water hazards from Allen’s Creek affecting four holes. It has hosted major tournaments including the U.S. Women’s Open in 1953 and 1973. The course plays to a par of 70, measuring 6,584 yards from the back tees.
