Description

The Wisconsin Junior Boys Championship is organized by the Wisconsin State Golf Association and has been held annually since 1909. The tournament is played over 54 holes (three rounds) of stroke play and features three age divisions: Boys 14 & Under, 15-16, and 17-18, with an overall champion also crowned. The field usually consists of 130–180 junior competitors, including a team competition in which three-man squads from the same club compete. Eligibility is open to boys who have not yet reached their 19th birthday during the championship, with players required to have a WSGA Handicap Index of 15.4 or less, and club residency. Entry is by direct registration and, due to large demand, an additional site is sometimes used to accommodate all qualified players.
