Description
The West Virginia Senior Amateur Championship is an annual state championship for senior amateur golfers, organized by the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA). This event uses a 36-hole stroke play format, flighting competitors after the first round for competitive balance. The typical field consists of 60–80 senior amateurs, aged 50 or older, who qualify by being active WVGA members with an established USGA Handicap Index. The event is played at rotating premier courses within West Virginia and follows USGA and WVGA rules.
