Description

The West Virginia Junior Amateur Championship is organized by the West Virginia Golf Association and serves as the main junior championship for talented youth golfers in the state. Played over three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play, the event is split into multiple age divisions for both boys and girls, typically ages 8–18. The tournament field generally consists of 80–120 juniors, with direct registration open to active WVGA members who meet the age and residency requirements. Players earn priority entry through season points, rankings, and top finishes at WVGA junior events; exemptions are available for prior champions and high-ranking performers. The championship is hosted at leading venues in West Virginia, with all play governed by USGA rules.
