Description

The Welsh Women's Amateur Championship is organized by Wales Golf and stands as the national championship for elite women amateurs in Wales. Traditionally held at leading courses such as Royal St David’s or Whitchurch, the event spans four days, beginning with a 36-hole stroke play qualifier from which the top 16 competitors advance to a series of match play rounds to determine the champion. The field size generally ranges from 60 to 80 players, with qualification based on national ranking, handicap requirements, and timely registration through Wales Golf. This tournament serves as a key pathway to national representation and ranking points in Wales and the UK.
