Description

The U.S. Senior Open Championship is organized by the United States Golf Association (USGA). It is conducted as a 72-hole stroke play event, consisting of four rounds of 18 holes each. The typical field size is 156 competitors who are professionals and amateurs aged 50 and older with a Handicap Index not exceeding 2.4. Qualification for the event involves competing in one of several 18-hole stroke play sectional qualifying tournaments, usually held at various locations prior to the championship.
