Toyota Vios Cup
About
The Toyota Vios Cup racing series is primarily held in Southeast Asia with strong presence in the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia. The Toyota Vios, a popular subcompact sedan in the region, is the race car used for this one-make series promoting grassroots motorsport with female and amateur drivers competing in similarly prepped vehicles. Regarding the Gulf region specifically, while the Toyota Vios is sold and popular in several Southeast Asian countries and parts of Asia, there is no widely known official Toyota Vios Cup racing series specifically established in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman) as of now. The racing series mainly concentrates on Asian markets, particularly the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia, where Toyota actively supports and promotes the racing series under its Gazoo Racing motorsport banner. If a new Toyota Vios Cup event or series emerges in the Gulf region in the future, it would likely follow the one-make format with specifically modified Vios cars, similar to the Asian iterations, to promote regional motorsport development.
