Description

The Tom Tontimonia Invitational, hosted by Cleveland State University, is a collegiate men’s golf tournament held at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio. The event honors longtime CSU athletics administrator Tom Tontimonia. The format features 54 holes (three rounds) of stroke play across two days: 36 holes on the first day and 18 holes on the second, with a shotgun start each morning. The field consists of about 12 teams, primarily from the Horizon League, with a few additional regional programs and some individual competitors from Kent State and Cincinnati. Each team typically fields five players, with the lowest four scores counting toward the team total per round. The tournament is played on a recently restored A.W. Tillinghast-designed course.
