The Solent Salver

The Solent Salver is organized by Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club in conjunction with Stoneham Golf Club. It is a 72-hole stroke play competition held over a weekend, typically consisting of two 36-hole scratch competitions: the Mike Smith Memorial Trophy at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club on Saturday and the Stoneham Trophy at Stoneham Golf Club on Sunday. The event is limited to around 60-66 competitors per event, all of whom must have a handicap index of 4.8 or less at the date of the competition. Entry is by submission of an entry form to Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club, with entries subject to ballot if oversubscribed, and no refunds are issued once the draw is finalized. The format is purely stroke play, with a 95% handicap allowance applied.
