Description

The Snedeker Memorial is a 54-hole individual stroke play championship held annually at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, Alabama, on the Dogwood Course, part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The tournament features around 72 of the top mid-amateur golfers from across the United States, competing over three days. In addition to individual stroke play, the event includes a simultaneous combined team score competition where players can propose their own partners or be paired by the committee. The tournament is hosted by The Snedeker Memorial Family Foundation in honor of Larry and Candice Snedeker, supporting youth development initiatives along the Gulf Coast. The event is known for its beautiful and challenging course setting, rich history, and strong competitive field. Participants enjoy amenities such as accommodations at the nearby Grand Hotel Resort and Spa. The Snedeker Memorial combines a high level of competition with a meaningful tribute and community support element. More information, including registration, scheduling, and contact details, can be found at the official website thesnedeker.com with event management led by Nicklaus Cottle. This tournament stands out as a premier mid-amateur event with an emphasis on both competition and charitable impact
