The Royal Junior
About
The Royal Junior is a prestigious junior golf tournament held annually at The Royal Golf Club in Japan. The 2025 edition is scheduled for April 17 to April 20. Organized by Nippon Kabaya Ohayo Holdings Inc., the event is sanctioned by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation and The R&A, with support from the Japan Golf Association and the Japan High School and Junior High School Golf Association. The tournament features 36 holes of stroke play over two days, with a select field of 12 junior boys and 12 junior girls competing. The event aims to develop future world-class golfers by promoting technical skills as well as values like courtesy and ethics. Winners of the boys’ and girls’ categories earn entry into The Amateur Championship and The Women’s Amateur Championship, respectively, two of the most prestigious amateur tournaments worldwide.
