Description

The Texas Cup Invitational is a prestigious boys-only junior golf tournament organized by the Legends Junior Tour (LJT). The event typically features a field of approximately 84 top junior boys aged 12-18, competing over 54 holes of stroke play. The tournament is known as the first major event on the LJT calendar each year and draws highly competitive junior golfers from Texas and surrounding states. The 2025 edition took place at the Rayburn Resort in Brookeland, Texas, featuring a challenging 27-hole course with elevation changes. The format includes a cut to the low 30 players and ties after 36 holes, with the final round played on the last day. Winners receive exemptions into other notable junior events such as the Bluebonnet Championship and George Hannon Junior Invitational, and the tournament is recognized by junior golf ranking entities. The venue and tournament manager ensure the event offers a memorable experience combining high-level competition with excellent course conditions. For more information, registration, and live scoring, the Texas Golf Association's website (txga.org) and the Legends Junior Tour site provide official details.
