Taiwan Junior Open
About
The Taiwan Junior Open is Taiwan’s flagship annual international junior golf tournament, first launched in 2011 and organized by the Golf Promotion Association of Taiwan (GPAT) and the Taiwan International Golf Academy (TIGA). It is held at the Miramar Golf & Country Club and typically runs over three days, with competitors playing three rounds of 18-hole stroke play. The format is exclusively stroke play, and participants are divided into five age divisions from ages 9 to 18. Each year, more than 150 junior golfers from over 13 countries compete in this event, making it one of Asia’s largest and most prestigious junior competitions. Qualification generally requires nomination or strong junior performance domestically, with further entry procedures listed on the association’s website and via announcements — selection can come from partnership programs or local championships. The event also offers scholarships and international training opportunities to outstanding participants.
