Description

The Taiwan Amateur Championship is organized annually by the Chinese Taipei Golf Association and is typically held in April at major venues like Kaohsiung Golf & Country Club. The event uses a 72-hole individual stroke play format for men and women, with a cut after 36 holes for the top 30 in each division. The championship fields around 120 players (60 men, 60 women), attracts top amateur talent from Asia-Pacific member countries, and includes a team competition for national and invited teams. To qualify, participants must be amateur golfers representing APGC or IGF member associations, meeting entry criteria as detailed by the CTGA. The event features registration and practice rounds, captain’s meetings, and an awards ceremony for medalists.
