Taiheiyo Club Challenge Tournament

The Taiheiyo Club Challenge Tournament is a prestigious golf event held annually in Japan, hosted by the Taiheiyo Club at one of its championship courses, such as the Konan Course in Saitama. Established in 2014, this tournament focuses on fostering younger and emerging players who may not qualify for main tour events or missed their seed, providing a competitive platform and the opportunity to qualify for the next season's tour tournaments. The event is played over three days, typically spanning 54 holes (three rounds) in a stroke play format. It is recognized for its high level of competition and has become one of the Challenge Tour’s premier events, known for drawing large gallery attendance. Qualification for the tournament involves passing through a series of preliminary qualifying rounds held at various Taiheiyo Club golf courses across Japan, with entry primarily limited to Japanese tour professionals, amateurs from the Taiheiyo Club, and top performers from qualifiers.
