SWNY-NWPA Amateur Championship

The SWNY-NWPA Amateur Championship is a historic and prestigious amateur golf tournament held annually at Bartlett Country Club in Olean, New York. The tournament features an initial 18-hole qualifying round, followed by match play across multiple flights, including a Championship Flight consisting of the top 32 qualifiers. Other flights usually consist of 16 players and are organized based on qualifying scores. Golfers aged 60 and over have options to play in a separate Senior Flight with its own qualifier and match play bracket or to compete in regular flights with the option of a consolation flight. The Championship Flight concludes with a 36-hole final, while other flights have an 18-hole final. This tournament typically hosts around 100 to 150 players from the southwestern New York and northwestern Pennsylvania region and allows a broad range of abilities to compete through its multiple flights. Qualification is based on residency within a designated geographic area and performance in the initial qualifying round.
