Description

The South Carolina Junior Championship is organized by the South Carolina Junior Golf Association (SCJGA) and is recognized as one of the state's premier junior golf tournaments. It is played over three rounds (54 holes) of stroke play, divided into boys' and girls' divisions for golfers ages 18 and under. The event typically attracts about 120–156 juniors, including top-ranked young players from South Carolina and often neighboring states. Entry is open to junior golfers who are dependents of members of SCGA member clubs; some events have additional handicap or performance requirements. There is no pre-event qualifier for most entrants, but exemptions or priority entry are offered to past champions and those with high SCJGA rankings.
