Description

The South Florida PGA Labor Day Classic, conducted by the South Florida PGA Junior Tour, is one of the region’s newer junior major championships. It is a 54-hole stroke play event typically held over three days during the Labor Day weekend at PGA National Resort, including play on the Champion and Fazio courses. The tournament attracts about 156 competitors ages 11 to 18 competing in three different age divisions for boys and girls. Qualification for the event requires players to hold status on the Medalist Tour, which is earned through performance in earlier South Florida PGA junior events. The event is also supported by partners such as Jim McLean Golf Schools, Honda Classic, and Titleist, enhancing its prominence in the junior golf calendar.
