Description

The SAS HBCU Invitational (Division II Men) is a 54-hole stroke play event held over two days at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina, played on the Fairways Course alongside the PGA Tour Champions SAS Championship. It is run through the SAS Championship organization in collaboration with the PGA Tour and the Black College Golf Coaches Association and features men’s Division II HBCU programs competing in three rounds, typically with five Division II men’s teams making up a field of roughly 25–35 players in that division as part of a larger 16-team overall HBCU field across all divisions. Participation is by invitation to HBCU programs rather than through open qualifying, with selected Division II schools such as Fayetteville State, Johnson C. Smith, Livingstone, Kentucky State, and Morehouse College representing their institutions in both team and individual competitions.
