Description
The Russell C. Palmer Cup is the premier stroke-play amateur golf championship of Connecticut, organized by the Connecticut State Golf Association (CSGA) and held annually at courses such as the Country Club of Waterbury. The event comprises 54 holes with a cut to the low 39 players and ties after the first round, followed by 36 holes on the second day. It honors Russell C. Palmer, a former CSGA Executive Director and Connecticut Golf Hall of Fame inductee noted for significant contributions to golf administration in the state.
