Description

The Roper Honda AJGA Junior Championship is a 54-hole stroke play AJGA tournament held at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club in Joplin, Missouri. The 2025 event is scheduled for August 12-15 with a field of 78 boys and girls ages 12 to 19. The course plays to a par 72 with a slope rating of 132 and course rating of 72.8 for boys, and a slope of 128 and rating of 74.2 for girls. Yardages are approximately 6,903 yards for boys and 6,031 yards for girls. Entry requires boys to have at least 17 AJGA Performance Stars and girls to have at least 31 stars. Some players gain entry through Performance-Based Entry (PBE) tiebreakers. Player registration is mandatory with specific time slots and is held onsite. Practice rounds are supervised and time-limited, and players must use the Golf Genius app for scoring and leaderboard updates. The tournament includes an 18-hole qualifier held on August 11 offering spots for boys and girls. The event features competitive junior golfers including champions and college commitments. Tournament director Harry Coleman manages event operations.
