Description

The RG Golf Junior Championship is a 54-hole stroke play AJGA tournament making its debut in 2025, held at The Saticoy Club in California from July 14-17. The event features a field of 78 of the nation’s top junior golfers ages 12 to 19 and has no cut. The prestigious Saticoy Club, established in 1921, is known for its challenging layout designed by George C. Thomas and William P. Bell. The course is renowned for its pristine conditions and strategic design, providing a competitive venue for juniors. Exemptions are based on AJGA Performance Stars: for boys, the top 3 are fully exempt, top 10 require 12 stars, top 15 need 8 stars, and top 25 need 4 stars; making the cut requires 2 stars if applicable. Girls have similar tiers with the top 3 fully exempt and top 5 requiring 12 stars. Players are encouraged to register on-site but not more than two hours before their tee time. Practice rounds are offered with assigned tee times and supervised practice facility use. A player’s smart device with the Golf Genius app is required for scoring and live leaderboards. This tournament is part of a three-year partnership between RG Golf and the AJGA, integrating cutting-edge golf simulation technology to support junior golfers’ development and competition opportunities.
